Terms of use

Short version: it's a tool for running a private pool among people who know each other. Use it that way.

The service

Blue Chip Bet posts spreads, takes picks, scores them, and keeps standings and payout tables for a private league. It does not take bets, hold money, or pay anyone. Whatever your league plays for is arranged and settled by your league.

Your league, your rules

The commissioner decides who is in, what the stakes are, and whether a pool is legal where the members live. By running or joining a league you confirm that you are allowed to take part where you are.

Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself. Picks made from your account are yours. Deadlines are enforced by the clock on our servers, not yours, and a sheet left short at the deadline is filled at random, as the app says it will be.

Scores and lines

Spreads, schedules and scores come from a third-party feed. We do our best to keep them right and to correct them when they are not, but a feed can be wrong or late. The commissioner has the final say on any dispute in their league.

What you post

The chat is for your league. Don't post anything you don't have the right to, or anything a reasonable commissioner would remove. Commissioners can delete any post; we can suspend an account that abuses the room.

Fees

Where a league is on a paid tier, the fee is per season and is paid by the commissioner. Members never pay us.

No guarantees

The service is provided as is. We aim for it to be up every game day of the season and we watch it closely, but we can't promise it will never be down or never be wrong, and we aren't liable for what a league decides to do with its results.
